Surge and protection

Damage caused by electrical transients or surges is one of the main causes of electrical equipment
failure.An electrical transient is a short-lived, high-energy pulse that is applied to a normal power system
as soon as the circuit suddenly changes.They can come from a variety of sources, including the inside and
outside of the facility.

Surge Protection Device (SPD), also known as Transient Voltage Surge Suppressor (TVSS), is used to
transfer high current surges to the ground through the device, limiting the voltage applied to the device and
protecting the device.
